Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-10
This policy explains what personal data Time To House collects, why, and the rights you have over it. We limit what we collect and do not sell your personal data.
Who is responsible
Time To House is the publication responsible for this site and for the personal data described here. The registered legal entity and postal address of the publisher will be listed in this section. For any question about your data, use the contact below.
What we collect
- Newsletter: your email address (required), and optionally your name, preferred language, sending frequency, preferred day, time zone and topics, only what you choose to give when subscribing.
- Technical: your IP address and standard server logs, processed briefly to keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
- Cookies and similar technologies, at a minimum an essential cookie that remembers your language. See the Cookies section below.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use your newsletter details only to send the briefings you asked for, on the basis of your consent (confirmed by a double opt-in email). We process technical logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
Who processes data for us
We share data only with the trusted service providers that operate the site and send our emails. We never sell your data, and never share it with advertisers or data brokers.
- An email service that sends your confirmation message and the newsletter. It receives only what is needed for that: your email address and, if you provided it, your name.
- Infrastructure providers that host and help protect the site, which may briefly process technical data such as your IP address.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to work, such as remembering your language. We may also use them to measure how the site is used and to improve our content and services. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent; where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies, and you can change your choices at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep your subscription data until you unsubscribe, after which it is removed within a reasonable period. Server logs are kept only briefly.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can:
- access the data we hold about you, and correct or delete it;
- withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email, or your preferences page;
- request restriction or portability of your data, or object to its processing;
- lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
