Bonobo, the producer Simon Green, releases 'Distance In Static' on September 11 through Ninja Tune, and pre-orders are already up. It is a 14-track record that moves across several languages, with a guest list that reaches well beyond dance music: Arooj Aftab, Joy Crookes, Nilüfer Yanya, Ichiko Aoba, Nicole Miglis, Aanya Martin and Kanako Yamamoto. Parts of it were reportedly tracked at Neil Young's Broken Arrow Ranch.
Does the dancefloor get a look in?

The lead single, 'Me and You', is built for the floor, not the headphones, and Green has been quietly road-testing it in DJ sets, including pop-up shows in London and Paris.
