So what actually happened at the graduation?
On Saturday 23 May, Diplo finished his son's kindergarten graduation ceremony the only way he really knows how: behind a setup, in front of a crowd. Six-year-old Pace and the rest of his class had just graduated, and instead of the usual juice and cake on the lawn, they got a working DJ set from one of the most booked artists on the planet.
The clip he posted is exactly as good as it sounds. Diplo cues up his new track "Two Steppin'", asks the kids "you ready to get crazy?", and then a yard full of children loses it, jumping and waving their arms while he claps along and throws his hands up like it's a main-stage moment. He captioned it "most exclusive party of the year" and added that he was putting it on the list of the most important sets of his career.

Why is a tiny graduation party worth our time?
Because it is the rare celebrity-dad moment that is genuinely, uncomplicatedly sweet, no agenda attached. There is no product, no festival announcement, no brand. A father who happens to headline festivals for a living simply showed up for his kid with the one thing he can give that nobody else can. The post pulled reactions from across the room, with Cardi B and Paris Hilton among the names chiming in.
There is also the slow-burn comedy of it. Most of those kids have no idea who the friendly guy on the decks is. Some of them will be teenagers before it clicks that Diplo, the Diplo, played their kindergarten graduation. That delayed realisation is the whole charm.
