What is on 'Spectrum'?
Roger Sanchez has not made a studio album since 2006. Twenty years later, the New York house veteran is back with 'Spectrum', out digitally on 5 June 2026 through his own Stealth Recordings. It is 13 tracks, around 43 minutes, and by his own account six years of work, much of it written while he was living in Shoreditch. A red transparent triple-vinyl pressing follows on 26 June.
I've been working on this for the past six years, so it's definitely a labour of love. I've got flavours from the UK, Spain, the US, all of it is part of the spectrum.
Who is on it?
The guest list reads like a map of UK and US dance-pop. Fedde Le Grand turns up on 'Grinnin''; Spice Girl Mel C sings on 'I Don't Wanna Know'; Karen Harding fronts the focus track 'How Do We Say Goodbye'; Kele Le Roc, Kelli-Leigh, Low Steppa and Donae'O fill out the rest. The lead singles, 'Grinnin'', 'Come My Way' and 'Temptation', set the tone: vocal house built for big rooms rather than the underground margins.
Why does a Roger Sanchez album still matter?
Sanchez is house royalty. He came up in the New York scene, won a Grammy, and put 'Another Chance' into the muscle memory of a whole generation of dancefloors. A full album from him is rare on its own; a 20-year gap makes it an event. And it does not arrive in a vacuum: it lands with a working summer attached, his Flower Power residency at Pacha in Ibiza, European festival dates and Hacienda Classical shows. The record is also a quiet test of whether classic vocal house still has a mainstream lane in 2026.
