Why does a 20-year album gap actually matter?
Roger Sanchez put out 'Spectrum' on 5 June 2026, and it is his first studio album in two decades. In a scene that now runs on single drops and weekly playlist adds, a first-generation New York house figure choosing to build a full body of work is a statement, not a rollout. Who is on the record?
The guest list is real house, not features for the algorithm. Fedde Le Grand is on it. Karen Harding sings on 'How Do We Say Goodbye', one of the singles that landed ahead of the album alongside 'Temptation'. Kelli-Leigh and Kele Le Roc bring the vocals, and there are appearances from Melanie C and Donae'o.
What is the Pacha play?
Sanchez is not letting the album sit on streaming. His 'Flower Power' residency at Pacha Ibiza runs 10 consecutive Saturdays, from 13 June through 29 August 2026, with guests ranging from major house names to the album's own collaborators and rising talent. The red transparent triple-vinyl edition follows on 26 June. Album plus a room to play it in: that is the old-school move, and almost nobody does both anymore.
