Why is Solomun playing Pacha New York for free?
Because of what the New York crowd did for him first. Solomun recently played a show at Fulton Fish Market in the Bronx where thousands stood through hours of rain, soaking wet, in roughly 50-degree cold, and almost nobody left. He followed it with a five-hour afterparty at the Knockdown Center, announced with almost no warning, that still packed out. So when Pacha New York opens its season on June 19, 2026, he is opening it with no fee, and he is giving the entire dancefloor to the people who showed up for him.

What rule did he break to be there?
For over ten years Solomun held a personal line: once the Ibiza summer season starts, he stays in Europe. No long-haul flights, no jumping time zones. He knew about the Pacha New York plans and was asked to be part of it, and under different circumstances he would likely have said yes on the spot, since Pacha has been part of his life for fourteen years. But the only possible date landed in the middle of his Ibiza season, so his first answer was no. Pacha kept that Friday open anyway, with no booking and no backup, just hope. The New York crowds changed his mind.
How do fans get in?
Everyone who was at Fulton Fish Market or the Knockdown Center afterparty should already have an email. You register through a link, and everyone who registers goes into one raffle. Drawn names each win two free tickets, one for you and one for a plus-one. It is not first-come, so registering early or late changes nothing: everyone who was there gets the same fair shot. Solomun was honest that Pacha is smaller and more intimate than the Fish Market, so not everyone who registers will be drawn, but he urged fans to register and let the draw decide.
